In late Sixties, a young Luigi Manciocco met Carlo Levi, attended his atelier and became one of his pupils, together with Giampaolo Berto, Carlo Cattaneo and Giovanni Gromo. From the Turinese master, Manciocco drew not as much his pictorial line - except for some forms in his youth - but rather his anthropological imprint. Introduced into the cultural environment by the Turinese artist and writer, Manciocco met some of the main representatives of Italian culture, such as Pasolini, Zavattini, Zurlini and the anthropologist Bronzini.
His first exhibition in Rome had a presentation in catalog by the same Carlo Levi, and the well-known journalist Berenice wrote a review about the event, published on the newspaper Paese Sera. In 1970 - invited to the “Marino Mazzacurati Art Prize” - among 1300 artworks by 495 both Italian and foreign artists, Manciocco was awarded the Third Prize for the Paintings Area with a work entitled Peace - Let’s look for it together. Members of the Jury included: Pier Paolo Pasolini, Carlo Levi, Raffaele De Grada, Rafael Alberti. Manciocco met the poet Diego Valeri, and started a friendship with the Andalusian poet Rafael Alberti. In the same years he met Guido Strazza and started an artistic path dedicated to the engraving techniques. Professor Strazza gave him an unreleased interview, which is currently stored within Manciocco’s Archive.
After 1975, during the Presidency of Linuccia Saba daughter of the poet Umberto Saba, Manciocco joined the “Carlo Levi” Foundation in Rome and was entrusted with the Public Relations. Linuccia Saba gave to Manciocco a copy of Levi’s posthumous book “Quaderno a Cancelli (Gated Notebook)” with the following dedication: “To Luigi Manciocco, Carlo Levi’s friend, and I hope my friend as well”. In this period, Manciocco made a series of engravings, among which Trieste and a woman, dedicated to the poet Umberto Saba in three samples, one of which was donated by the artist to Linuccia Saba. In 1979, with this same artwork Manciocco was awarded the “Sant’Ambroeus Prize” in Milan, Palazzo Litta. At the “Carlo Levi” Foundation, he dealt with the rearrangement of Levi’s Pictorial Works and Photographic Archive and rebuilt - together with the film director and poet Sergio Miniussi - the whole scenographic iconography of the Foundation walls.
In 1981, one year after the death of Linuccia Saba, a booklet was issued: Linuccia Saba. Memories of Sergio Miniussi Testimonies of Eugenio Montale and Umberto Saba. This Booklet has been issued in 500 copies, curated by Carlo Levi Foundation, Publisher G. Einaudi, restricted to Carlo Levi’s and Linuccia Saba’s friends. The copy No. 127 was given to Manciocco and is currently stored in his Archive.
In 1984, Manciocco’s chalcographic portfolio entitled La Parola il Segno (The Word-The Sign) dedicated to four poets: Alberti, Bassani, Montale, Quasimodo, was presented by Giorgio Bassani, in the Capriate Hall at “La Selva” (Prince Ruffo’s Manor) in Paliano, Rome. During the presentation Bassani read his poem Rolls-Royce dedicated to the artist and friend. In 1984 in Venice, during The XLI International Film Festival, Rafael Alberti - member of the Jury - presented the portfolio La Parola il Segno in the Press-Room of the Excelsior Hotel. The Spanish poet dedicated to the artist his poem Al pintor de la palabra y el signo included in Manciocco’s Archive.
At half Eighties, Manciocco organized and chaired in Segni, a Round Table on the issue “Art and Folk Traditions” to which took part and made presentations the poet Elio Filippo Accrocca, the art historian Renzo Bertoni, the writer Giuseppe D’Agata, and the anthropologist Jacopo Recupero, former director of the National Museum of the Arts and Folk Traditions in Rome. In those years he met Aldo Braibanti, writer, poet, dramaturgist, an emblematic figure of Italian culture between Sixties and Eighties. In May 1987 Manciocco, together with the author Braibanti, arranged in Segni the dramatic performance Theatri Epistola, interpreted by the actors Luisa Sanfilippo, Massimo Napoli and others, with the cooperation of “Collegium Musicum Signinum”. This piece was performed one time only, as each of Aldo Braibanti’s theatrical works. To this event the journal “Sipario” dedicated a full page. In the same year Manciocco hosted in Segni a significant retrospective Exhibition of Remo Brindisi’s artworks
In 1989 he was invited to the II^ Edition of Vico Arte, International Biennale of Graphic Arts “Tono Zancanaro” in Barberino Val d’Elsa (FI): 21 Italian artists vs. 21 French artists, where he displayed four large chalcographic folios, using the techniques of etching, aquatint, soft wax and dry point. In May 1989 he attended a Study Seminar about Marino Mazzacurati, taking part with his contribution into the drafting of a book dedicated to the same Mazzacurati, together with other contributions by Carla Marzi, Giampaolo Berto, Enrico Crispolti, Fortunato Bellonzi, Raffaele De Grada, Giulio Carlo Argan and others. In the same days he travelled through different towns in Abruzzo near Teramo, together with the Art historian Corrado Maltese, visiting churches and reviewing sacred frescoes and paintings. In October 1989 he made a first travel to New York, where together with Manlio Gaddi and Grazia Chiesa presented an Exhibition of Graphic Artworks by Tono Zancanaro, at the Italian School “G. Marconi”.
At the same time he continues his cooperation with the poet Rafael Alberti who composed a poem dedicated to the town of Segni as part of the chalcographic portfolio SEIC, published by “Casa della Cultura Carlo Levi” of Teramo, 1989 on occasion of 2500 years from the foundation of Segni, including artworks by R. Alberti, G. Berto, R. Brindisi, L. Manciocco, E. Treccani, and a text “Antifonario per Segni” by Giammario Sgattoni. opere di R. Alberti, G. Berto, R. Brindisi, L. Manciocco, E. Treccani, e un testo Antifonario per Segni di Giammario Sgattoni. This portfolio was presented in Segni by Gianmario Sgattoni, Ernesto Treccani, Grazie Chiesa, Francesco Loperfido, Giampaolo Berto, Beatriz Amposta Alberti. Later, copies of the portfolio will be acquired by the Archive of “Corrente” Foundation, as part of the Cultural Heritage of Lombardy. The friendship with Rafael Alberti will last until 1999, year of the poet’s death. At the end of Eighties, Manciocco carried out an intensive cultural activity. He frequently travelled to several locations, including Milan, where he met the writer Leonardo Sciascia.

After several experiences in the area of Figura Advanced all-in-one, wireless, batteryless preservation and protection solution for precious artworks.tive Art, between 1985 and ‘86 started two parallel researches: one about ethno-anthropological sciences with theoretical studies, and the other in the field of conceptual experimentation with environments, video-installations and performative practices. In his recent works the artist uses materials being able to change their essence, moving from one state to another, such as ice, wax, blood (liquid for theatrical effects) along with other materials, such as alabaster powder, steel, aluminum, crystal. More recently he uses corian and new technical devices.
In 1990 - Solo Exhibition “Inchôo. To begin” - Atlantic Gallery, West Broadway - New York. Through a set of white works on papers, Manciocco started a research on monochrome, white and light: a study on the ‘Line of White’ which is still part of his artistic pathway. In the Nineties he made several study-travels to the US, where together with G. Chiesa from D’Ars Agency he met some personalities of contemporary art and culture. Margot Palmer Poroner, director of the Magazine “Artspeak” introduced the artist to the intellectual environments of New York city, entrusting him the direction of the editorial office of the same magazine in Rome. During one of this travel, together with Stefania Severi, Manciocco met Stefan Eins, Art Director of ‘Fashion Moda’ Cult Gallery of the Graffiti Art in South Bronx, and the gallerist Jack Shainman in Broadway, who were interviewed by them, and these interviews were then published on the Magazine NEXT. In another travel to New York he visited with G. Chiesa several artists’ studios, among whom Christo’s Studio.
In 1991 he came back to New York, invited to the Traveling Group Exhibition “Un Punto per Piero. Omaggio a Piero della Francesca”. Locations: Milan, Brera Academy - New York, Italian School - Urbino, Ducal Palace. To this exhibition was dedicated a TV reportage broadcasted by “Il Circolo delle 12” Italian RAI 3, December 13. Between 1990 and 1992 Manciocco was member of the editorial staff of the Art Magazine “D’Ars”. Entrusted by G. Chiesa, he contributed several essays under the direction of Pierre Restany. In 1992 he held the Solo Exhibition “In Calce. Mare bianco” (In Plaster. White Sea) at ‘Panigati Studio’ in Milan. Environment curated by Nicola Micieli. The artist covered the gallery’s floor with 3 m3 of white grains in polypropylene. Again in 1992, in cooperation with Studio D’Ars he took part to the Group Exhibition Bandiere Bandierine Stendardi (“Flags, Pennants, Banners”). New York “Italian School G. Marconi, during the events celebrating 500 years from the Discovery of America.
In 1993, together with Luigi Campanelli, Domenico Giovannini and Marco Mataloni, Manciocco set up an editorial team publishing the series ‘Notes of Studio Aperto’ in Rome, Via degli Ausoni (former Pasta Firm ‘Cerere’). December ’94 - January’95: Traveling Solo Exhibition “Beyond the Visible” Curator: Stefania Carrozzini. Locations: Katariina Gallery Helsinki; Italian School New York; San Francisco ‘De Bellis’ Foundation. In the same year he was invited to the Group Exhibition “The Lion’s Wings” Group Exhibition around the XLVI International Biennial of Arts, Venice - “Banco di San Marco Foundation”.
In January 1995, together with Claudia Manciocco, he published an anthropological essay entitled “Una casa senza porte”
(A house without doors) Melusina, Rome. This scientific essay - welcomed by Academic environment - was subsequently adopted by Italian University Departments, and purchased by several Libraries both in Italy and abroad, particularly by University Libraries in USA. Before its publication, the draft of the essay was submitted to some special readers, such as Evel Gasparini, Linuccia Saba and the anthropologist Luigi M. Lombardi Satriani, Holder of the Chair of Ethnology at “La Sapienza” University in Rome, who gave a positive feedback and accepted to present firstly the book at the “Baldini Hall” in Rome, together with other speakers. Subsequently the same essay was presented in Faenza at Muky’s “Loggetta del Trentanove”, by Giuseppe Cassieri; in Florence at “Le Monnier” Bookshop by the writer and critic Pio Baldelli, the anthropologist Antonino Colajanni and the journalist Giovanni Nardi, editor in chief for Culture of the newspaper La Nazione; in Ferrara at the “Women’s Documentation Centre”. In January 1996 the essay was firstly reviewed by Giuseppe Cassieri and Alessandro Barbero on the newspaper La Stampa, Turin. Later the essay gained extensive and positive reviews on several newspapers, among which: Il Messaggero, Il Secolo d’Italia, Il Tempo, Il Mattino, La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, il Corriere della Sera, Il Giorno, La Nazione. On this essay discussions and presentations took place on Radio 3 Third Page with Marcello Veneziani; Unomattina (RAI 1-TV); Radio TV Switzerland. In 1996 the essay Una casa senza porte was awarded the First ‘Ripetta Prize’ in Rome - Section “Essays” aex aequo with Gianni Maritati, and in 1998 it was awarded the Prize “Ciociari nel mondo”. Subsequently, Manciocco was invited by Barbara Palombelli to take part into the Radio broadcast “Se telefonando” where he answered to questions asked by listeners.
With the writer Giuseppe Cassieri and the anthropologist Luigi M. Lombardi Satriani Manciocco started a friendship which will lead to different kind of cooperation, including publication of reviews on newspapers and journals. Particularly, he established a sound cooperation with Prof. Satriani, in the field of demo-ethno-anthropological studies. Satriani introduced the artist to the Academic environment of Italian anthropologists, and later he will cooperate to the project developed by Manciocco aimed at hosting the conference “Artist’s Malaise. A Mysterious Gift” which will be held in 2003 at the National Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions” (M.A.T.P.) in Rome.
In 1997 - Solo Exhibition “Libera Nos a Malo. Invocation-Installation” Spoleto, taking place during the XL “Festival dei Due Mondi” (12 July- 30 September). The artist displayed seven light-boxes (51.18 x 35.43 inch.) which enlightened the walls in which prisoners were locked up since the Inquisition period. From these walls the graffiti tracked by prisoners emerged, which until then stayed invisible, undiscovered, due to poor light coming from a small window in the cell. However now these graffiti were highlighted by the powerful light-boxes. All this determined a double vision of the exhibition, although unintentionally: from one side the images of brooms, luminous dendric forms projected by light-boxes, and on the other the prisoners’ graffiti re-emerging from the plaster after centuries of obscurity. This exhibition firstly received different contestations from the Church Authorities, however, after the visit by the town’s Bishop it was re-valuated and extended. Among different reviews on the exhibition, particularly significant was Cinzia Staforte’s “A Wall of Flesh” published on the Journal NEXT. In the same year the Albornoz Palace Hotel in Spoleto acquired a big-sized sculpture in steel “Particola”. This work is currently part of the Albornoz collection. Within the framework of a system of communication with the transcendent, the artist’s sensitivity trespasses towards the geographies of the spirit and remote matter. A field of investigation on several cross-territorial paths, which gave to the art critic and anthropologist Lidia Reghini di Pontremoli the motivation to include the artist in the group identified as ‘Urban Primitives’ in a book where she investigated this New Trend: “Primitivi urbani. Antropologia dell’Arte Presente”, Rome 1998.
Between 1999 and 2000 Manciocco took part into Group Exhibitions: “Artissima” and “MiArt” with the Galleries “Area”in Turin;
“Antonio Battaglia” in Milan, and the Austrian Institute of Culture in Milan. In 2000 the artist was invited to the Sacred Art Biennial “Giubileo 2000” curated by S. Severi. In 2001 - Group Exhibition “Paper Planet in Third Millennium”, Rome, M.A.T.P.

In 2003 Manciocco developed his theoretical line by means of a conference on the theme “Artist’s Malaise. A Mysterious Gift” (the artist in relationship with the self – the artist in relationship with society) - organized and chaired by him in four days at the M.A.T.P. in Rome. To the event took part contemporary artists, art historians, philosophers, anthropologists, poets, writers, musicians, including: Mario Luzi, Luigi Ontani, Luca M. Patella, Vettor Pisani, Bruno Ceccobelli, Luciano Inga Pin, Gianni Biondillo, Pierluigi B. Fossali, Vittoria Biasi, Lidia Reghini, Vincenzo Centorame, Marco Frisina, Luigi M. Lombardi Satriani, Massimo Canevacci, Piero Pelù, Umberto Dante, Anna Maria Piemonte, Anna Di Biagio, Vittorio Nocenzi, Alain Elkann, and others, with presentations, reports, performances, tableaux vivants. Coordination by S. Severi. The project included also interviews given to students of Fine Art Academy and University in Rome by art and culture personalities. On one day of the conference the artist Luigi Ontani performed “DevilAngel” a tableau vivant after which, Manciocco talked with Ontani about the anthropological symbolic features of Bali’s traditional masks. Later Manciocco enhanced his friendship with the artist Ontani, by visiting him at his house-studio and at Andersen Museum in Rome, which hosted a great exhibition of Ontani’s works. The issues dealt with by the two artists will become matter of an extensive essay written by Manciocco on Ontani’s demand and issued by ZETA. International Review on Poetry and Researches in February 2015. A sequence of frames depicting Ontani taken by the student Martina Lanini, will be included in the artistic video EYES which will be shown by Manciocco in 2007. Furthermore, in 2003 Manciocco met Mario Luzi, who invited him and his students to visit his house in Florence, and accepted to give an interview. During this conversation, while talking about the conference topics, Luzi suggested to provide the event with the significant subtitle “A Mysterious Gift”. Additionally, as happened with Ontani, a set of shots depicting Luzi taken by the students during the interview will be later included in the artistic video EYES. In the same year Manciocco invited by prof. Massimo Canevacci, Anthropologist at ‘La Sapienza’ University in Rome, took part into the Event “Ex-Cathedra. Cultural Movements” presenting the Installation “Libera nos a bello. Works of Light”, Solo Exhibition (II Part of the Project “Libera nos a malo, a bello, a peste” started in 1997 in Spoleto. During the event he interviewed Piero Pelù.
In 2006, together with C. Manciocco published a second essay “L’incanto e l’arcano”, Armando, Rome, for the Series “Anthropology” curated by Luigi M. Lombardi Satriani. The essay again investigates the cult of ancestors, with historical references and an in-depth study on Middle Age, raising a discussion between experts, such as Carlo Ginzburg and Franco Cardini. The essay was adopted by University Departments of Anthropology in Bari and Palermo, respectively by Vera Di Natale and Fatima Giallombardo, and was acquired by several Libraries in Italy and abroad. In the same year the artist was invited by Loredana Rea and Stefania Severi, to the International Group Exhibition TRA(C)ARTE Rassegna Internazionale di Opere in Carta” hosted by “Banca Del Monte Domenico Siniscalco Ceci Foundation”- Museo Civico Foggia.
In 2007 (5-15 February) he participated to the Group Exhibition Exposition «SAGOME 547» Paris, Quai d’Orsay, Centre des Conférences Internationales, within the framework of UNICEF: «Liberons les enfants de la guerre». In the same year he was selected for the ‘V BIENNIAL OF ARTIST’S BOOK’ Cassino, curated by V. Biasi, L. Rea and Barbara Tosi. Manciocco displayed an Artist’s Book entitled “Ausfegen” inspired to Joseph Beuys. This work will be later acquired by the City Museum (Contemporary Art) of the town Cassino.
Between October and November 2007 he held the Environment EYES Solo Exhibition, a suggestive site-specific video- installation-multi projection in the Hall of Golds - City Palace in Spoleto, in cooperation with ‘Luciano Inga Pin Contemporary Art Gallery’, Milan, curated by Pierluigi Basso Fossali and Luca Beatrice. The video-installation was composed of several boards painted in black, set up on three walls of the room. The environment included three small monitors (3.54 x 1.96 inch.) projecting images depicting the eyes of Artists friends of the author, characters of the world of art and culture, young women known by the artist. The video included also some frames depicting Pasolini, given to the artist by Dino Pedriali, and photos taken in Spoleto depicting the American artist Marc Kostabi and the Umbrian artist Franco Troiani, specifically for this artistic video. The exhibition was supported by two publications: a Catalog and an Artists’ Book by Manciocco and Luca Maria Patella “EYES.Vis-à- Vis”, issued by Campanotto. With Luca M. Patella, as with Ontani, since the 2003 Conference, he had several meetings, cooperation and correspondence, which is stored in Manciocco’s Archive. From this year Manciocco developed also an extensive cooperation with Pierluigi B. Fossali, historian of art and semiologist, expert in new media, with different initiatives and projects.

19 September 2009 - 6 January 2010 - Solo Exhibition, MIRACLE 2009 – Videoinstallation, curated by Luca Beatrice, Cascia City Museum (former Saint Anthony Abbot Curch). The sacred space meets white and light. The environment marks the surrounding space, highlighting a strong immersive imprint. The artist displays three oil containers in the central aisle of the church. Two lateral containers bring white wax roses made by the artist, enlightened by led, while within the central container a small monitor projects a loop video with a sequence of images depicting explosions of nuclear and chemical weapons. The whitish nebulae fading blur into invisible, giving place to the pureness of white roses. In relation to this exhibition on 19 January 2010 in the Conference Hall of MACRO Museum in Rome, took place the event Miracle 2009 One-Day. Catalog Presentation, projection of the Video and Performative Action by the artist. Talks by: L Beatrice, S. Severi, P. Basso Fossali. Again in 2010 - Terni, Primavera Palace ARTE3 - Group Exhibition.The artist made the sculpture “Cuboliquido. Presence Absence” (ice and steel). October 2010 the artist is included in the Magazine “Vanity Art”, number 0 specifically designed by the photograph Sergio Coppi, depicting artists operating in Umbria. In 2010 Manciocco published two essays on “Zeta. International Journal of Poetry and Researches”: a first one on Gino De Dominicis, “Beyond the end. The drifting of imagination”. and a second on Yves Klein: “Y.K. Unpredictable the artist, unpredictable the event”.
2012 - Bergamo Caffè Bazzini, Solo Exhibition White On White, Catalog with texts by Pierluigi Basso Fossali and Claudio Cianfaglioni. On the way back from Bergamo, he came to Cascia, where during the “Ritian Festivals” in a very particular meeting with the Prioress of the Agostinian Monastery, together with Franco Troiani, Karpuseleer and a small group, he had the opportunity to see closely the Ex Voto dedicated by Klein to Saint Rita which is stored in the Monastery. On the occasion the Prioress gave and dedicated to Manciocco a rose booklet written by Pierre Restany when the little coffin containing Klein’s Ex Voto was found in Cascia. On turn, the artist donated to the Library of the Monastery a copy of the journal Zeta with his essay on Yves Klein and Saint Rita, issued in 2010.
2013 (22 May - 31 August) Cascia, Palazzo Santi Museum. Group Exhibition “Viaggiatori sulla Flaminia”, hosted by Studio A87. Manciocco displays the videoinstallation The Mystique of Silence dedicated to Yves Klein, Dino Buzzati and Saint Rita of Cascia. In this exhibition the artist used 3 video projected by 3 monitors and a steel plate painted in white, equipped with a device from which drops of blood (theatrical liquid) flow down. The meaning of the environment is linked to the Saint of Cascia and her mystic experience. Luigi Manciocco clarifies the sense of the relationship among Saint Rita, Buzzati and Klein with a further essay entitled “Ex voto Shipwrecks, Visions” issued in the same year by the journal Zeta, where Manciocco describes the imaginific aspects of marvelous on which his video work displayed in Cascia is focused. This essay raised a strong interest and disputes by some cultural environments.
2014 (April-May) - Site-specific Videoinstallation “Liturgy of Gaze” Solo Exhibition curated by Gianluca Marziani, Spoleto, Collicola Visual Art Palace. Two Catalogs were published on this occasion: “Ruber” and “Glacies”, texts curated by Gianluca Marziani and a contribution by Nicolas Charlet. The same Charlet, who is deemed one of major experts of Yves Klein after Pierre Restany, attended the preview of the exhibition, invited by the artist. Later, in 2016 Charlet will write a text on the Catalog Possible Relationship, in Belluno, “Botta’s Cube”. In 2014 Manciocco started a sodality with Gianluca Marziani through different initiatives: a text in Catalog by Marziani for the exhibition Possible Relationships in Belluno 2016; permanent acquisition of Manciocco’s artwork within ‘G. Carandente’ Collection of Collicola Palace; Marziani curated the project for Mucciaccia Gallery in Rome for the permanent environment of the artist in the Suite 305 at “The First Hotel”. In this space 14 Manciocco’s artworks have been installed, of medium and big sizes. Furthermore, Marziani dedicated to Manciocco the video Close-Up No. #49 on the online platform “ArteInvestimenti”.
2015 - Group Exhibition in Spoleto, "BACULUS/ Rods at Sun Gardens" Collicola Visual Art Palace, Project by STUDIO A'87, curators: Emanuele De Donno and Franco Troiani. In the same year, Manciocco, together with his friends Franco Troiani and Fulvio Porena – organizers of the event “Travelers on Flaminia Road” – and in accordance with the Major of Limana (Belluno) arranged the transfer to Cascia of the painting Ex voto, which Dino Buzzati dedicated to Saint Rita, and permanently stored at Limana City Palace. During the “Ritian Festival” in this year, both Buzzati’s and Yves Klein’s Ex Voto were displayed besides the Saint’s urn. Later in the same year, during his visit to the “Granary” of Villa Buzzati in Belluno Manciocco met Buzzati’s widow Almerina – introduced by his friend Carlo Marcello Conti, publisher of the Journal Zeta – and illustrated to her his studies on Klein, Buzzati and Saint Rita. In those days Manciocco revisited and studied the path coming from Limana to Val Morel in the locations described by Buzzati in his book The Miracles of Val Morel.
In 2015 he met the French critic Gérard-Georges Lemaire, with whom he started an extensive cooperation. Invited by the same Lemaire, he took part into the Group Ehibition “GOETHES FARBENLEHRE. Ein Kaleidoskop zeitgenössischer Kunst”(Artistes Contemporains de France, d’Europe et d’Ailleurs) Mainz, Institut Français (March-April). Kurator Gérard-Georges Lemaire. Later, from 18 to 26 June 2015 he takes part into the Group Exhibition in Milan “Kafka was Prague and Prague was Kafka” curated by Lemaire. Interested to the studies on Yves Klein and about the link between this artist and Saint Rita of Cascia, he met Lucetta Scaraffia, teacher at “La Sapienza” University of Rome, who years before had published the essay “The Saint of Impossibles” dedicated to the relationship between this Saint and the art of Yves Klein. With prof. Scaraffia Manciocco started a friendship which will last in the next years.
2016 (May-June) Belluno, Crepadona Palace, “Botta’s Cube” – Solo Exhibition “Possible Relationships” curated by Angela Madesani. With this videoinstallation, fully immersive, Manciocco further investigated the relationship between Yves Klein, the writer Dino Buzzati and the role played by the Figure of Saint Rita in their art. Within the Botta’s Cube (a space of 13 yards) the artist proposed a multimedia videoinstallation with 2 round sculptures in corian (one white and one black, each Ø 70 x 2 inch.) and 3 videos in multi-projection (environmental dimensions). On this exhibition a book-catalogue Possible Relationships was issued, curated by Angela Madesani, Luca Rento, Silvano Tessarollo and Luigi Manciocco, Scalpendi Publisher, Milan, with texts by: A. Madesani, Nicolas Charlet, Gérard-Georges Lemaire, Patrizia Dalla Rosa, Gianluca Marziani, Lucetta Scaraffia. Patrizia Dalla Rosa made a review “An extreme Saint in the artistic and intellectual relationship between Yves Klein and Dino Buzzati” in L’Osservatore Romano, 21 May 2016.
April 2016 - Together with his sister Claudia Manciocco, Luigi founded the Cultural Association “ELIDE APS” aimed at promoting culture, and specifically supporting young talents in different fields of artistic and cultural skills. 30 May 2016 Artribune Online issued a review by Gérard-Georges Lemaire: “The possibility of relationship. Luigi Manciocco in Belluno”. In June 2016 Manciocco was interviewed in the Vatican Radio Studios by Rosario Tronnolone in the broadcast “I Giochi dell’Armonia” (Plays of Harmony) about the exhibition Possible Relationships. In the same year he travelled to Milan, where he was invited by Lemaire to take part into the Group Exhibition “LES CAFÉS LITTÉRAIRES”- Institut Français, “Stelline Palace”. During this travel he met Gillo Dorfles, who invited him to visit his studio and Manciocco recorded a video statement by this great art historian. This unpublished document is part of a project entitled Time over Shoulders. In November 2016 in Paris at the Café Literaire ‘Les Deux Magots’ - Group Exhibition LES CAFÉS LITTÉRAIRES, curated by G. Lemaire. Later Lemaire gets in touch Manciocco with the French writer Jean-Marie Touratier, for a project in partnership: an Artist’s Book entitled “Silere” on the issue of ‘silence’ to be still implemented, although texts have been written, due to the unexpected death of the writer Jean-Marie Touratier.
In 2017 (29 January-30 April) - Group Exhibition CIVETTARTE, Rome, Villa Torlonia Museums, curated by Stefania Severi. Later, in the same year - Group Exhibition CHRONOS, in Romano di Lombardia (BG), curated by A. Madesani. The artist made an installation with 1 light-box (52 x 35.5 inch.) This Group Exhibition took place in different towns in the Southern Bergamo province.
2017 (1 June) - City Council Room in Colleferro (RM). Manciocco, together with Stefania Severi and the Major Pierluigi Sanna, presented the Collection of Poems Chant and Candor, published by the young poet Giorgio Focardi, Campanotto Editore, Udine, with the support by “ELIDE” Aps Association. In the same year, on 10 June, in Sellano (PG) within the framework of “Travelers on Flaminia Road” 10th Edition, 3rd Itinerary from Spoleto to Sellano, curated by Emanuele De Donno, Giuliano Macchia, Fulvio Porena, Franco Troiani. The artist presented a video projection as part of his project “Time over Shoulders” reporting the narrations before recorded by Manciocco, from two aged women of that location on the events linked to earthquakes and their memories. Since 2017 Manciocco joined the Redaction Team of the Online journal The Global Review, where he published several essays.

(5 January) RAI 1-TV - “Unomattina in Famiglia” Manciocco presented his recent book clarifying the anthropological meaning of the Befana. 2021 (6 January) - Broadcast Hollywood Party on RAI - Radio 3. Enrico Magrelli and Dario Zonta conducted an interview on the same book.
(October 2021-February 2022) - Invited to the Group Exhibition “La Biblioteca. Artists’ Books from Los Angeles/Italia”, Manciocco joins the event with two artist’s books: Mystic Flight and Libera nos a malo. The Don B. Huntley Gallery - Pomona, California State Polytechnic University, facilitated by Michele Cairella Fillmore. Curators: Raffaella Lupi, John David O’Brien, Stefania Severi.
From January to February 2022 a big-sized calcographic work Middle Age Sunrise made by Manciocco and belonging to Carlo Marcello Conti’s collection, was displayed at Palazzo Brandolini, in Pieve di Soligo (TV) during the Group Exhibition Zanzotto, Signs, Forms, Colours.... Poetry, curated by Mario Da Re. February 2022 - Publication on the journal Zeta of the essay written by Manciocco “Joseph Beuys: Phenomenolog of sense and matter” with some images - Courtesy Buby Durini Archive - provided by Baroness collector Lucrezia De Domizio Durini, met by Manciocco some years before during different events focused on J.Beuys in Bolognano, Milan and other locations. With Baroness Durini Manciocco also had some cooperation. From 23 September to 22 October 2022 - Site-specific Environment Anthropology, Multimedia Installation, curated by S. Severi, “Civic Art Collections” of Marliani Cicogna Palace in Busto Arsizio (VA). Catalog with texts by: Stefania Severi, Alessandra Santin, Lucetta Scaraffia, Luigi Manciocco. With this exhibition Manciocco continues his cooperation with the historian of art Stefania Severi, which is still active.
2023 (1 April-10 September) Venice- Saint Marc, “Contarini del Bovolo” Staircase, Solo Exhibition “From the Side of Imaginary” curated by Alessandra Santin. Organization: Theke Museum, Venezia Servizi “Gioielli Nascosti” Foundation, IPAV. Within the space hosting Tintoretto’s artwork Paradise, the artist created a site-specific installation with the work Relic, and a series of environments. On this exhibition Manciocco released an interview to Rosario Tronnolone of Vatican Radio, during the broadcast “Indovina chi viene a pranzo” (Guess Who’s Coming to Lunch, 12/06/2023).
2024 (9-12 January) Las Vegas – Consumer Electronics Show. Among 50 Italian start-up, INNOITALY presents Luigi Manciocco’s BiaMco framed by ‘Model C’ a special case designed by THEKE, technologically developed ‘Advanced all-in-one, wireless, batteryless’. A revolutionary solution for preservation and protection of precious artworks.
